Fireside Chat
The most recent episode of The Economist podcast is called Fireside Chat, and it’s particularly good if you’ve got a few free minutes (a google search ought to do).
I went to Austin last week for SXSW. More on Austin later, but here are some of the lesser and greater shenanigans that ensued.
(note John saying he’ll fight anyone who touches kevin rose at about :22, and me asking Cesar if his gun has ‘night mode’ for ‘when it gets dark’ at ~:49)

Palo Alto
I posted a few shots I took while I was in Palo Alto the other day, there’s more on flickr. I stayed at the Hacker House while I was up there, which is home to a few of the current YC startups and a couple other incredible projects — it was a really cool experience. More later.

Fuck you, Washington Mutual
I spent 58 minutes this morning (and 22 last night) on hold with Washington Mutual while being indiscriminately transferred between various departments. At the end of the call I had talked to nine (NINE) different ‘customer service’ representatives who passed me back and forth between departments in a manner something like the following: Fraud Prevention Services, Debit Card Services,...
