  • About Me

I'm Kevin Twohy. These are the pictures I take. This is my email. Here's my Facebook. And for better or worse, I occasionally use Twitter.

From time to time I share tiny glimpses of what I'm working on here.

    More about me.

  • Focus on what doesn’t change. This is actually the best bit of business advice I’ve ever received, and it’s one of those things that’s hard to think about in the software and technology business, because the software and technology business is often focused on change: new tech, new ideas, new fads. Gotta do a Facebook app cause there’s an API now. Gotta do an iPhone app cause that’s out now. Gotta do a widget — whatever those things are. Back in the day you had to have a scrolling ticker on your site — every new site had a scrolling ticker — now none of them do, I don’t think. Maybe ESPN might sorta have one on the side.

There’s a lot of stuff that goes on that’s changing all the time, and when companies are always focused on the change, they’re not focusing on investing in what really matters.

~ Jason Fried.  This bit was really spot on.
